Update + Eat my pack 4

Sat Aug 11, 2007, 1:53 PM
Okay fellas! I got some good and some bad news. The good news is: I'm finally done with pack 4! It has taken a great load of time, but it has paid off greatly, the presets are more polished and pimped than ever, you'll see what I mean.

The bad news is: I didn't make it to ABB Industrial High School. What's more annoying is how close i was. I had 240 points, and I needed 245 points. Not messing up my last geography work would have given me the extra 5 points.

But don't mind me, I'll manage. Instead you should seek up my new pack immediately and gaze upon the goodies inside.

well, my internet's broke down at home, and the computer crashed, i was to redo the harddrive to get rid of all shit on it, so i thought i could just re-install Windows XP and wipe it totally, well, i tried, didn't work, i got a tip from my uncle about how to do;
It was this thing with partitions, removing them all and tricking the computer to create a fresh, empty partition, WHILE reinstalling XP again. So til now, i've probably reinstalled XP 4-5 times in a couple of weeks.

and, well, i've been working a lot with my computer in general, quite alot's a mess, the modem's out (no internet AT ALL), the integrated graphics card didn't tag along any of my games anymore, so i replaced it, and now it seems i need a 2.5" driver (what do you call those in english? those 1.44 Mb discs?).

Also, i should consider buying more RAM (512 Mb right now) and replace the integrated sound card too, as some games doesn't work with it either.

NOW we're getting to the *real* answer to your post, i haven't got much time to work with the pack at all.

Though i HAVE made two quite interresting presets, of which one has led to better skills in scope-control. It's a snowboarding hamster :)

I made a superscope (2d) based on the 3D worm, and applied a variating tilt on it, and depending on how hign the music is, the bigger the bumps in the slope.
To rotate the hamster and the board i used a dm, as you cant rotate texers.
The other one is a mainly blend-based metaball remix, Doing this "Explosive Virus" in the Community Picks.

That's about it for now, Peez

Hey there!!!!!
I'm finishing my new AVS pack. How are things? I've read that you had problems with your computer. Are you making AVS again???
:iconh3lioz:
Well, i'm getting into it, slightly.

But i was wondering some things about our coop work. You said you knew how to make 3D, and said using an APE called Render / 3D, i'd like to see it as it doesn't seem very coded imo. When i'm saying 3D and Knowing how to *do* it, i mean with scopes and occasionally a gvm (I use it all the time to easier tweak and control rotation and offsets.
I downloaded a pack made by you a while back, and saw you used a lot of predefined, non-coded renderers, aren't you really into coding yet, or what?

Really, if this is supposed to be a serious pack, and work out well, we have to be at the same technical level, at least approximately.
If you ain't, i got some tips that speeded me up a lot when it comes to the 3D part (i self-learned the rest).

well, you need some special files (.asc) to make it work. That APE doesn't appear in Render, but in the "Render APE" menu
